I'm sure most of you guys read the Stardoll Freakshow (If you don't..you should ;]). Well, if you haven't stopped by lately, then you may have missed the grand unveiling of the 2010 Spring Dioguardi Couture Collection. Oh and what a collection..I couldn't wait til the Sparkle Awards were over so I could post it here. I really think that some of these designs are not just beautiful, but breathtaking. Manolo.Dicicco and his team have done an amazing job and I hope they continue to share their creativeness with us for many more seasons.

I have seen the collection and i don't like it very much, i mean the whole collection. There are few pieces that i totally love, but... I don't know.. I guess I'm the only person who doesn't like it so much ,
Wow... Simply breathtaking! Amazing creativity, and some phenomenal graphic designing. I think stardoll should SERIOUSLY take a look at these for inspiration... In fact you should get your own shop! I mean come on.... Folk's new collection of maxi dress tablecloths? No comparison.

I love some peices, like sakuradreams dress (the blue scaly one) but some are.. eh.. ok :)

Some of them I am ok with, and I think some of the collection is repeated, but overall wonderfully designed.
I don't like this at all. Many of the models have odd looking breasts. All of their heads are too big for the bodies, like Bratz dolls. The paint-splatter print is old now. The mermaid dress is way too thin at the ankles for it to look any bit realistic.
What is the big deal over this collection? It's a few graphics, one can't buy these "Designs". Also, I've seen a few quite similar pieces on the real runways.

It was pretty boring, and if it wouldn't be written on top of the collection, I would think that the clothes are from the first one that Manolo created. I mean the colours are pretty much the same. There's only some blue and the splatter print, but it doesn't change much. And all of the models had the same haircut... Disappointing. I expected more than that, but oh well. And I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm just expressing my thoughts like everyone else here. And I'm not saying that I could do better, even though I could if I work hard.... Anyways.
Face it, people, it's not so great. Let's just be waiting for a new collection to come. Who knows, maybe it will be something different...

I do not read the Freakshow thingy, so I didn't know about collections like these. So I'm suprised in a positive way!
I've been in graphic design school so I can sorta imagine how much work this must've taken. :)
First the +'s. I am impressed with the faces/make-up/hairstyles and the arms. I like it that the models aren't 'crack skinny'. I like the details (nail polish, yay!). :D Some designs are nice and I like the splatter print. Overall I see good things!
Now, my advice would be to have a more solid theme for the next collection. I see a lot of things going on like colours, prints, shapes, ruffles, shoulders, belts, cuts.. For all I know is a collection usually created from a few (3-5) 'base-designs'. On those base-designs you can make variations, on wich you can make more variations - to get a whole collection. This way everything will still be connected with eachother in some way or another.
Anyway, keep on doing this if this is what you like! You'll learn by doing it, so take in the constructive critic - if you wanna grow. But either way enjoy it! C:
The collection is amazing. I have already commented on the post and blogs about this, and I do not want to repeat myslef, so I will keep it short :) Manolo had a gift, and the way he displays it gives everyone else a gift :) His collection inspires me, as an avid designer, and the collection is better than all the clothes on Stardoll! And I am so happy that I was chosen to be a model :)

the collection is fabolous...it's really breathtaking. i can't decide which outfit is my favourite, they're all unique and beautiful. stardoll should really design some of the clothes. and i really don't understand the negative comments, if u don't like maybe you should try to make samo graphics...you will see how hard it is and how much effort it takes...
Well yeah, they might've stick to one look, but so what. Tonnes of designers do that. Just because they have a theme doesn't mean they're not all individual. It's no comparison to his last collection, this on blew it out of the water.

I do not agree with your comment at all first of all the line is not boring if you notice the details you will see how much work they put into it the line was amazing and I loved the color I was also glad I didnt see things already seen on the runway it was vewry creative and fresh! The line it self was not at all boring not at all, maybe you wanted to say I didnt like the line because yeah the line is a little to colorful for some people tastes but hey a designer does not follow trends they set trends! I also like how the girls werent stick skinny they actually had curves and I liked that alot this line was different and bold and took chances I think the risks were woth it please more designs!

You will not like every piece in a collection, you will hate some and love some. You have your own opinion the line is new but in my opinion it is very bolf and very tastefull sure I wouldnt were some pieces because some would be for show but some of them i would love to wear! The clothes in this collection were truly a piece of art! Art is ment to be seen not worn in this collection some pieces are ment to be shown and not worn aswell. I believe they tried alot and got great results not alot of people have actually done this sort of thing, well maybe but never really got it right or maybe gave up. The point is that the designers are pioneers and I think will inspire more of the members to try this too!

i love all the pieces and i love those colour styles i hope they continue on doing that.
the only thing that i didn't like is the bodies abit..but that would be improved by practicing ;)
