Cycle Task 1: Work of Art

Hi y’all!

With this being the first task I want to first start off with the rules so that everyone has them and can easily look back over them.

Grading: Tasks will always be due on Saturday.  Afterwards, all entries will be compiled and a poll will be set up. Those of you not in the cycle will have the opportunity to vote for your top 3 favorite entries. This will be open from Sunday and will close Tuesday. Out of the entire contestant pool, the top half that receives the most votes will automatically be safe. After Tuesday, grading and feedback will be done by the judges before Saturday. The goal here is to give the judges an ample amount of time to do everything so that we can have a large amount of data for results. I’ve decided that sending you all feedback individually through your Stardoll inbox will be the best way to go, so make sure that either Jenna or I (boookay)  are friends on Stardoll!

Judges: There are a host of judges set to judge, they are: Me (boookay), Jenna (Emorox4eva), Agnes (Ashleybaby93), Bella (ExaBella), Brooke (ecf97), Lexie (Lexie_girl), and Rachel (ChicTaylor1989). Do remember that we all have jobs and/or are in school so some weeks all judges may grade and others only some will, but based on your feedback you will know who was in the judges panel for that task!

Scoring: Each week you will be given a rubric with each task so that you know how judges will be grading and know what to do to get the best possible score! At the start of each task, your total scores will be posted so that you can see where you stand.

Elimination: At the end of the grading from the judges, 2 of you will be eliminated each week. You will be eliminated if you: aren’t safe for the week AND have the lowest total score. This way, if you have a rough week, you will have a chance to redeem yourself.

Doll Usage: You are allowed to use any doll for Cycle tasks just be sure to give that doll credit. Try to avoid using dolls that are already in the competition. Also, you are allowed to change dolls throughout the Cycle!

As a reminder, 1st place will win 500SD, 2nd place will win 300SD, 3rd place will win 200SD and those remaining at the end will recieve wishlist gifts!

And finally here are a list of the dolls that are able to compete:

Work of Art
This is a task that is being revisited as a throwback from a previous cycle!

From the The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MoMA) in New York, USA to Le Lourve in Paris, France there are many famous Art museums across the world that hold some of the greatest works of art ever created.

Some famous pieces of art include: The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, The Persistance of Time by Salvador Dali, and Campbell’s Soup Cans by Andy Warhol.

Below are a few pieces of art work from some of the well known artists!

For this task, you must create an outfit inspired by a piece of artwork, specifically a painting or drawing! When doing your outfit, refrain from using pieces that have art work on them such as the bags from LE. When making your outfit, try to incorporate tones, colors, and maybe even patterns that are found in your outfit. Be sure to include the name of the piece of art as well as the artist so that we can easily look it up when it comes time to judge.

Grading: This task will be out of 15 points! 5 points for following instructions, 5 points for including tones and colors into your outfit, and 5 points for the pieces you use going together (ie, shape, size, etc).

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask below!

This task will close on Saturday, April 13th at 11:59PM EST!

Good Luck dolls!
