Hi y’all!
You can find your scores as well as the results from the polling below in this spreadsheet:
I am in the process of getting feedback to everyone and I expect to have that sent out within the next few hours. If you don’t receive feedback or if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask me or any of the other judges!
Sadly, this week Infelix and Dollwars will be leaving the cycle but I do hope that you all still keep up and participate in voting!
This week, you must mix up the fashion of a specific time period with a different type of fashion. Here are a few ideas you either use or you come up with your own:
- 20’s Bohemian
- 50’s Emo/Goth
- 80’s Prep
- 00’s Vintage
Here is my outfit for the 20’s Bohemian Look. Notice I included fringe, similar to what was found in the 20s and I included a pearl necklace underneath to represent some of the jewelry from the era. For the Bohemian theme, I layered a vest and jacket that included the earthy brown found in Boho fashion.
I would grade myself: 9 + 5 + 5, taking off a point for the jacket and vest appearing too bulky for my doll.
The goal here is for you to include trends that were found in the time period you choose while also including pieces that go with the theme. Overall, we want for your outfit to be cohesive!
You must make one outfit and include the time period and fashion theme you choose. You are allowed to use any doll, just be sure to give them credit! You are NOT allowed to use scenery for this task.
Grading: 10 points for your outfit. 5 points for following the instructions. 5 points for including a description of what you included from each and posting inspiration pictures (pictures are a bonus, but not mandatory). Half of the points are easy to get so just be careful!
Questions judges will ask themselves include: Is this outfit cohesive color wise and piece wise? Is it clear that trends from the time period and trends from theme are present? Did this person step outside of the box and their comfort zone?
This task will be due next Tuesday by 11:59PM EST, giving you a full week to complete the task.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask either one of the judges or ask below!
-Alex
