THEME FOR WEEKEND OOTD

Hey dolls!
Since Aonuk is busy with real life stuff, I'll try to temporarily take over her place in weekend OOTDs.

THIS WEEKEND'S THEME IS
MILITARY CHIC

Military style shown on the catwalk and then adapted to street fashion is nothing new. The first showdown on the podium may be reported to the '70s, when Yves Saint Laurent brought to the attention of fashion lovers the trench-specific to the officers. Since then, military style, though it may seem for a strictly professional spheres well defined, is becoming increasingly popular, as long as it retains only certain elements taken from original uniforms models.
Military style is a mix of masculine and feminine elements. The combining of military-style tailoring with various details and feminine elements lead to an eclectic result very attractive, that fits the buyer's intention to purchase something unique and more personal. Looking at everything from a purely commercial angle, the real factor that highlights the military style is its practical side. Military style often involves more clothes pockets, the cuts and shapes of military uniforms and also the specific neutral colors to match most silhouettes. Military uniform has been a constant inspiration for fashion designers, it can be found in different seasons, each time under a different interpretation. The common elements seen in all these designs, but different regarding the concept are: specific cuts, camber clothes, using buttons and double rows of buttons, tall, large or furry collars, cuffs, shoulders accessorized with epaulets, belts that define the waist and especially the specific colors: khaki, black, gray, olive green, beige, brown and dark blue. Of course there are exceptions, such as red or cobalt blue.
