GET THE WORD OUT!!! FIGHT BACK!



So as I guessed Stardoll said NO, they will not help me. They gave my account back, but eh...it's empty of all my rares...

I am really sick of this...is anyone else? Why is it that they want us to spend tons of money on this site and then do not back up their products. I mean its virtual. It does not cost them anything to replace these items.

This hacker "cup45_x" took 28 pages worth of items that I can see. LE , 1st season DKNY, LOTTERY DRESSES, MKA RC, PAULINA RC, McQUEEN WINNER DRESS.. Who know what else is missing. I still ask how they can do this, when I have never been able to see these items eligible for sale and Stardoll supposedly made it that way.

Stardoll can clearly see where the trail goes....GIVE IT BACK. It's really simple and should be a no brainer!

BUT INSTEAD..Here is there response.

Well I say hell no. I did not willingly reveal my password. It was stolen from my computer!!!!

We are the Stardoll community. We are the ones that allow them to be the big company that they are. We need to take back our power.

I constantly hear all the time how people were hacked and stardoll will not help. I always try to give any helpful advice, but in the end it's up to Stardoll.

But I thought... WHY? We all have these blogs. All over the world we have the ability to reach each other and we need to fight back. Stardoll needs to develop better customer service practices and we have the power to say we are not going to keep paying money to this site that doesn't give 2 craps about us! They want us to be loyal paying members, but...

WHERE'S THERE LOYALTY!!!

I hope you all will post about this on your blogs. This is not just for me, but everyone that has been contacting me going through these same issues. Don't stand for it anymore! Whether it affects you are not...one day it might and we all have to stand together.

Don't continue to pour your money into this company if they won't help us! Think about this! They won't return VIRTUAL ITEMS to your suite that cost them money. The only people who lose money is this situation is you!

yes I have filed a complaint with the BBB, but from what I am hearing stardoll does not care anymore.

  21. Stardoll needs to improve their security measures, it is so easy to change your email and pass, you don't even need to have access to the first email to change a password and that is bad security measures in my opinion.

    If they can see fully who took your rares they should help, if one person took all of your items it's pretty obvious what has happened.

  23. Is that their final answer? Wow even if you did give them what they needed, they still won't do nothing?!. Okay that's mess up. At least that hacker didn't get much. They should at least refund the cost lost. They know a lot pay money on their site.

    True a lot of people get hack/scam and in this case again. It shows they don't care much. IA with you about the service, it's a company, but they need to act like one. Try and offer the customers(us) better solutions and a safer site. So no one from the outside or in can get in.
    Keep mailing them like crazy Jen, they should offer some other help.

  29. I agree with you, if those items were supposed to be protected and someone still managed to sell them, it's definitely stardoll's fault and they should certainly give it back. For them it cost nothing to do that. But on the other hand, it is also our fault that stardoll isn't helpful for those who got hacked. I'm talking about people who actually give away their password, get hacked and then complain. I believe that you did not give away your password but there is no way to prove this. So stardoll just assumes that you did because it's easier to say 'no' instead of looking for a solution.
    That's just sad...

  35. I agree with your text. It's not loyal to offer at the members to pay so much money to play but when there is a big problem they CAN NOT help us because it is "our mistakes".

    We must do something to change the stardoll's system. Because even it is a virtual game, it is real money!
    We should post a topic about it in Royalty Stardoll club, make a new club about it and put those messages in our presentation.

  37. It's so stupid & it could be because you are well known that they responded to you at all, what of those who are not well known & have been hacked afer spending a lot of money. I'm just confused as to how it could happen if you gave no details out that means it could happen to anyone. They can obviously trace these items if they have been sold unless if they were recycled. And they could also give you back some of the items afterall some of these items have been given out for free in competitions.

    I don't understand why people do this, is it jealousy, wickedness or spite? I used to think it's because some members pay & others don't but it's just greed & wanting an item that was available before they joined stardoll.

    I also think it's someone (who made a new account)who is close to you & knew you'd be away for a while. I suggest we stop visiting any kind of link posted on a well known blog. A spyware is not enough, you need to clean your computer regularly to get rid of cookies (I use C cleaner)maybe it would help I'm not sure.

    Stardoll is silly as they notice this is a regular occurence they should look for other ways to make account theft more difficult not just ways of taking money from us.

    Many users are being hacked recently via Viruses etc. And this figure is increasing dramatically. To prevent hackers, we would like a different security system.

    Examples of this would be a security question created by yourself and the answer personal to you after you enter your password, to confirm it is you and not someone else accessing your account. Another solution would be a security question personal to you to change your password or email too.

    Please consider this, we need to prevent hackers from occuring! Thank you.'

  54. Well I think that whatever you say, soon LE will come and all people will pay SD anyway. But your idea is quite great, actually if there isn't any special shop or anything on SD I have started not to pay, because being SS while having nothing new isn't cool, I no longer care about it, because - what is cool in paying for nothing, just graphics? You know, I have spent really much of money [I really would be interested about how much] and if I would have to loose it all in one day - I think I would leave and never come back, some of my friends have gone through this, most of them stayed, but few left. BUT Who's fault is it? Aren't we the ones who will say - I won't sell this rare cheaper than (example) 1,000. Aren't we the ones who started labeling items - those which are worth more and those simple/usual ones? We are the ones who made them something, only after stardoll understood that Stardollians needs limited edition and other nice labels that makes them sound exclusive and by time raised prices as there were so many people buying,paying. I wonder how much money do they earn in such months when there is LE released. This is just awful business made on (mostly)young girls who wants to be cool (maybe cooler than in RL) with some designer clothing and virtual fame (and for some friends too) those things that maybe they don't and never will have in RL. I'm not saying that we all are miserable, but just - stardoll for some is like second life, really, but it's awful that the owners (parents/adults/Gods ;D) aren't caring about us, at all. Though you know not just SD, but RL too is unfair, but I think this DollyWood should have been like a perfect world - without all the mean people treatment (which we can see more and more nowadays) Stardoll should work more on the security system, make better selling system, BUT sometimes it seems that they are on hacker's side - because some of those hackers after-sell those clothes to main accs, but others just put them on sale - and you know the tax, some even sell for real money, so it ends with fact that stardoll earns even more from them, so - yeah stardoll should have do smth to the system, and if this is a protest not to pay to those not-caring owners - I'm with you. Because as it seems, without any reason anyone of us could get hacked, so why buy those rares - we actually all should care more about other qualities, not how many rares does people have in their closet (some do label like that) And stardoll should listen to members, many of us have been loyal to them fo years, have paid them a lot, and if they do not listen - then there really is no reason to pay to people who don't care, who simply wants money and can't even get a normal additional staff who would actually read messages.

    StarDoll not us help to back our stolen clothes well they can do one thing to stop that mania for cheating, hacking or scamming... Let StarDoll release in StarPlaza all MKA RC,Paulina RC, LE all seasons, DKNY all seasone, lottery dresses, McQueen winner dress. All StarDolls want those items, why not StarDoll give to all of us the rare items and dane no more hacking... o yes and most import all StarDolls will be happy...

  81. Threaten them with a law suite and if that doesn't work threaten them with a real law suite. It's incredible that the most some girls might spend on this game range between 900-1200 a year, yet this game offers poor customer service and inefficient security. With figures that high you would think that they would insure that your items would be safely returned if you were to get hacked. Maybe it's because they feel their target audience is 8-14 that they shouldn't take us seriously but I'm far from fourteen and I spend way too much money here to be treated so poorly.

    Even World Of Warcraft raised their security by offering us a choice to buy authenticators. I was hacked when I first started playing the game. I logged in one day and all of my armor was gone, weapons and everything. And I will say their system worked much better because atleast they gave us our stuff back without question. It would have been a huge uproar if they didn't oblige, but in the end isn't it obvious that people should get their items back? Like Jenna said, it is virtual. How hard can it be? Stardoll is just so lazy they don't feel like answering every email and resending out numerous items because their system is probably outdated and just plain ridiculous. They would probably have to do it manually one by one. And they don't feel like investing the time or money into seeing how this problem can be fixed.

    A year later, (when I was playing WOW after I got hacked) WOW came out with an authenticator which has you type in a code before you login which is supposed to prevent hackers from hacking stealing your account and I haven't been hacked since! I played for 4 years! So obviously other games are taking on the responsibility on addressing these issues. What is wrong with Stardoll? WOW is only 15 bucks a month and I spend wayyyy more money on this game. These people suck. I would be absolutely livid if I got hacked. It's good that the head guys remain hidden because their asses would be so dead.

    Anyway, start the petitions and tell me where to sign. But you really need to threaten them with a law suite and if that doesn't work, hire a lawyer to do the job. Maybe you could get an affordable consultation somewhere? If you were the one that caused the most necessary changes to take place you would officially become my hero. And everyone else who has suffered this monstrosity.

Unless they completely delete the items from their files (which I doubt) then it should be no problem to replace the stolen items. I didn't read all of what you wrote, but it looks like you're blaming Stardoll. it's not their fault though. whoever hacked you knows their way around the computer and that means that even the best security system Stardoll could have wouldn't stop them.   103. I can kind of maybe a little bit understand why stardoll would be wary of just giving things to every one who claims to have been hacked. In theory someone could use that as a way to sort of launder money and rares through multiple stardoll accounts without any consequences. But it seems like it would be really difficult to do that without being caught. You'd have to have multiple superstar accounts all working in concert form different i.p. addresses. Like a stardoll mafia, lol.

    Anyway my point is, I think some people could try to scam stardoll by pretending to be hacked, but it would be pretty hard and that's so obviously not the case here.

    When you're as much of a loyal customer as someone like Jenna and you spend so much money with a company, you deserve to be treated with respect. Obviously, you were genuinely hacked and it wasn't your fault. Even if it was your fault and you made some mistake, you've been a loyal customer of stardoll for years, they should treat you as such and try to help you out. You're right, it would cost them nothing to give your clothes back, so I really don't understand why they won't do it.

    U ost send 3 notificactions message to stardoll. to start in the future and if u want it a legal procedure (u r not alone ok)
    U should write this as soon as posible:

    I recover my account BUT I STILL CAN`T GET BACK MY REALLY RARES AND PRECIOuS COLLECTIBLES ITEMS. i have the probes that i just to have (and put the items u lose) next put the dates and the tme u adquires this items.
    During the time i was hacked the items i mentioned before where sold. so, i have no control over my account and is impossible that i could be able to sell them. Now u have the probes and u don`t need to investigate i just ask u to returned my items or the original cost that i pay for them.
    I trust u are not involve in this crime (legally tipified as cyberscammer, however i most asume that u r protecting this hacker, being a complice on the stolen items, in order u have the probes i think this will be no problem for u because u don`t need to investigate anything just give me my things back.I don`t need to remind u that a presunction of complicity is enough to create an ilegal conduct. this is my first notification for u. I have invest real money so u are responsible of this money and scammer conduct.
    This notification is an invitation to do the right thng. The second and the third as u know star a legal procedure.

It's NOT like they can't see who it belongs to..so no skin off their back. They'd punish and get rid off a bad person while keeping a loyal customer. Seems to me they deserve their D- rating! Stardoll does realize that these items are are all fake, really just pixels....so giving them back to their rightful owners no matter who they belong to should not be a big deal as long as their is a SB history showing who the thief was and who it originally belonged to???? Stardoll get it together!!! Otherwise we WILL, one by one stop giving you "OUR" money! Why would we pay for such incompetence, you might want to take this into consideration Stardoll!

  108. Stardoll is responsible for this mess because they created an environment where people trust them enough to spend their money on a game. Their game, that that they created!!! Now, if they implemented the proper security measures required in order to prevent account theft and lost/stolen items then none of this would be a problem. If people are getting hacked left and right what does this tell you? Not everyone who has been hacked has given out their passwords or clicked on "links." It means Stardoll isn't a safe site to put your trust into because they fail to provide security for the items in which we pay for with REAL MONEY! They're acting like we play this game with Monopoly money and that we as the consumer should be ignored. These people are making me so mad!!! I would love to see you Jenna, slap them with a law suit. If you at least could seek a free consultation you would at least know where you stand on this matter. And you would probably end up with a large payout for their stupidity. Stardoll would finally be a safer place to throw our money at. But right now I am really feeling uneasy and pretty frustrated at this money grubbing, greedy, incompetent, selfish company named Stardoll. If this were an adult game? There is no way in hell they wouldn't have been sued about fifty times by now. These pathetic security issues that we are having to experience wouldn't even be an issue! And karma is going to kick that stupid girl's ass for causing such a ruckus, just watch, if you're reading this, just watch. You think you are invincible? Nothing goes unnoticed, everyone always pays. You think you're invincible because you can hack people behind your stupid computer, just watch. You will get yours and you will know why it's happening when it happens. Just like Stardoll will get theirs in the long run as well.     Sometime ago my LE sold to same person in 2sd , but I get 50sd , because she bought those clothes, but I'm still so angry and I sent maybe 10 e-mail to Stardoll, BUT NO I didn't got my LE back.
