Hi y’all!
Thank you to all of you who competed last week. We all enjoyed going through your entries and I am working out getting feedback to everyone by the end of today. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to either me or the judge at which your question is directed to.
Total Scores as well as the results are posted in this spreadsheet that you all will be able to view:
I thought this was the best way to present this information to prevent this post from being so long.
This week, the two dolls leaving us are regikenneth97 & giannoula5. Thank you for participating and we look forward to seeing your entries next go around!
This week's task may be evident by the name. This week I want you all to create a fashion line inspired by a Real Life Brand! Some of you can can look back at your answers for the Cycle Sign-ups if you are stuck on a brand.
For this task the goal is not for you to use actual pieces that are on Stardoll inspired by specific collections but rather for you to include pieces that represent trends found within that collection. For instance, if you see a collection such as the Zuhair Murad Spring 2019 Collection, you’ll notice a lot of hues from turquouise to blue to purple, with gowns with beaded details. Here is an example of how I would do this task:
For your submissions, it is NOT required that you submit your inspiration photos but it is highly recommended so we can understand where your train of thought was when you made your outfit.
You must make a total of 3 outfits. You must include the collection your outfit was inspired by meaning the designer and season. You must provide a name for your collection. You are allowed to use any dolls, just be sure to give them credit! You do not have to use the same doll for each outfit. You are NOT allowed to use scenery for this task.
Grading: 5 points per outfit. Each outfit will be graded on cohesiveness and fullness of outfits. 5 points for including either inspo pictures and/or your reasoning behind the outfits. 5 points for following instructions.
If I were grading my entry above, I would give myself 4.5 + 4.2 + 3.8 + 5 + 3. My feedback would be:
The first outfit although all the pieces go together well, it missing that dark blue hue that is found in the dress however the sheen and material of the shirt is spot on. The middle outfit, although darker hues than the outfit it goes. It just seems to be missing a little more green. Lastly, the final outfit has colors that match to a T but the pieces don't seem to flow with one another. Points were taken off for not including a name of the collection.
We are giving you a few extra days to get this done so this task will be due Saturday April 27th, at 11:59PM EST.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask either one of the judges or ask below!
Lastly, refer back to the Task 1 post to look over the rules if you have questions!
-Alex
