HB LACE DREAM BLOUSE POLL

*PLEASE VOTE BELOW*

Wow! You guys really don't like this HB or you are tired of the HB comps. This took forever to get enough people!

Let us know, so we know whether to continue them or not. FYI for those that don't know, we keep this comp as kind of paying homage to our original reason for the blog/club..which was hotbuys. Hence our web address and club Hotbuys Bazaar. I know HB's haven't been great lately, but I hope you continue to enter these polls!

Poll closes Sept 23, 2014
Vote for your top 3 favorites!

  3. I really liked these, although i feel like people just add Strike a pose because they can, they just don't make it so fashionable, but not all some people really know how to make it work, but some just add it to just add it.

  4. Right, there so fun! I like to vote more than join! I wish i could be a judge!

  5. Wow! I wanted to vote for five dolls and I almost went nuts narrowing those to 3.
These were really, really good--in my estimation.

I think that some people may do it because they're eye-catching. All in all though, I liked the majority of the entries :)

  7. yeah i agree then it happens that in the poll several were wearing the same pose!!!

  8. To me it's just taking the lazy way of doing it!!! (sorry for the bluntness)

  9. yeah i totally understand what you mean. strike a pose is fashionable on its own so people just add it to make the doll look good without actually working hard to make the hotbuy work on its own.

  10. this shirt was just waaaaaay too awkward to style for me. Not to mention a weird color. So congrats to all who managed to pull it off, I've placed my vote :)

  11. I agree with @MissLadyAnjah it's just LAZY styling.

People see that they get votes and people like SAP so they add it, the don't actually seem to style it at all, just stick it on.

  12. (In SAYING that, I DID have SAP on mine, only because I wanted to see if I could manage to style it.)

  16. I really liked what some people did, though it was hard to style. Anyway, voted for my favorites ^^

  17. This was the most difficult of all the polls for me. Lots of really cool looks.
I finally narrowed my vote down to three, but it took me quite some time and a lot of scrolling back and forth.
    Congratulations to all of y'all!

  18. Oh no, please don't stop hosting the HB Comps, I enjoy joining them so much. At first, for sometimes I stopped joining them because I never win, but then I realize that it's not about winning. I actually found joy in trying out hotbuys and styling them; sometimes I fell in love with pieces that I wouldn't even try on at first (which is the case of this hb). I honestly think Stardoll should sponsor this blog, because honestly I wouldn't be still playing Stardoll if it wasn't for these competitions you hosts. Usually I only play Stardoll actively during the summer and winter breaks, due to my heavy schedule as a law student, and due to lack of activity in Stardoll itself (I don't have any real or virtual friends in stardoll and I know for a fact that I don't stand a chance at winning competitions that Stardoll held). But now I found that sneaking out from essays and papers for a while every now and then is very refreshing, because I actually have something to do :)

  19. I miss this one, but anyway, it seems to be difficult to style this blouse, many efforst made but only 3 outfits are really really nice to me. Btw, good job to all!!!

  20. SAP items seems to be a shortcut, but I see here that to style it is not very easy, they just reduce the opportunity to create an personalize your own style. Two of my three favourites are not wearing SAP, and I hope they get many votes ;)!

  21. This hotbuy looks very hard to style, but there's some amazing entries in so many different styles from very casual to very elegant. Loved this one! Well done to those who entered.

  22. as you can see, my entry has a SAP item, and I feel really sad to read that you consider "people using SAP items are lazy". I just disagree with that - but it's my opinion ehh ;) - those items are giving something different to the outfit, with a different pose and a shape and edge that no other clothes are giving. I do agree on the fact that I'm starting to get tired of seeing them everywhere, but still, I must admit that I still love them so much (at the moment) and I feel like creating with them A LOT :)
Beside, using a SAP thing is kinda challenging (considering which one you're using) these days, you have to imagine new ways of matching them to the rest of the outfit, and I think that this is interesting to see how other people style them - and the HB polls are (for me) the best sandbox for that !
SO, please, continue with the HB poll - there are so many creative and talented people out here, and please, don't shame SAP users.

  23. This was the first time I used a SAP item in my outfit - because I love the dog/jeans/sneakers combo and I guess I'm sort of compensating for not being able to buy it...
I sometimes feel that people use SAP as an easy way out, because the outfits don't need that much work afterwards, but sometimes they look really good. Sadly, you either use it and risk being called out on just using a gimmick, or you don't and you don't have as much of a chance of winning...

  24. My thoughts exactly, only from a medical student... :)

  25. I love the shirt on its own, but it's really difficult to style. I'm still not sure if I should save SD to buy it.
Also: Please, do keep this competition running! It's a great way for us to show off and compare our styles.
I'm quite happy to keep participating, even though I know I don't really have a chance of winning - I just don't have a chance with all the originality and creativity other people here have... :)

  26. I really like how some of you make an outfit with this HB, I already voted for my 3 favourites!! Good luck to all :)

  27. I love the HB polls! I just didn't see options with this blouse. It was beautiful but difficult to combine diferent. It had very few options, and I voted for the more originals imo ! good luck everyone! x

I dont think this new blog layout makes it good,i always go to a post when i see pic since i dont have time to read every single statement so when i see pic of HB i just join comp, this way i don't know if there will be a poll for some items. Maybe you should bring back the old layout because i feel like i am lost on you blog lately. I hope you understand my english :) lol

  29. I agree. honestly, alot of the entries with SAP look totally random.

  31. me.. too.. then i have to click home.. always

  32. The problem is our posts tend to be way too long, and people are lazy to scroll through them. For example, when we post a HB poll (which is filled with huge pics and the long poll itself) and someone is done with voting, they would rather avoid that post next time when browsing the site therefore they don't scroll below that - this way several posts get unnoticed and we have to keep posting reminders every day which can be tiring after a while. It just doesn't matter if the sidebar is filled with bold icons that direct to certain tags and links, people somehow just don't click on them.

We will keep this layout because this way our members can check posts they prefer and they can get through the site much more quickly. I've noticed a positive change regarding the amount of votes and entries we get.
