(born August 25, 1972) is a Portuguese television presenter, actress and UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador. Catarina was born in Lisbon in 1972 and is daughter of RTP journalist Joaquim Furtado.


Throughout her successful career on television which started in the early 1990s, she has worked for SIC and RTP television networks, as well as the radio stations Rádio Comercial and RDP Antena 3.


Catarina attended the Conservatório Nacional (until 1990) specializing in dance. She also trained in journalism and studied drama at London's International School of Acting from 1995 to 1997, as well as Lee Strasberg's Method Studio in England. She married to João Reis, actor, and has a daughter, Maria Beatriz (born in 2006) and a son, João Maria (born in 2007).

    I know her, I'm from Portugal as well, and I can say that she is one of the most sucessful presenter/actress of her generation xb
    She always presents herself beautifully and she is very private about her life...

    I have never heard of her but she is really pretty ! She kinda looks like Mel C from the Spice Girls lol :D

    I know her, I'm from Portugal and I used to watch "Dança Comigo". She is the presenter.
    I think that she could look a little bit better in the sd version...

    Being portuguese I have to know her, unless I lived under a rock or something lol
    Although I would give Stardoll's graphic 4/5 (her hair is nicer)

    As an actress she sucks, as a presenter she's medium so I hope that she is a good mother ;p

    She's so nice! Now at Saturday's nights I see "Quem tramou o Peter Pan?". She is the presenter!
    I'm portuguese and I'm proud to have people like Catarina here in my country! She's very famous!

    I'm from Portugal too and I know her even though I don't really like her. She's kind of fake but I'm still excited because it's the 1st time Stardoll made a Portuguese doll . Yay!

    I know her! I'm portuguese and I'm glad to see a portuguese celeb, apart from Cristiano Ronaldo, on Stardoll!I think she's one of the best portuguses tv presenters ever!!
