Kate Middleton's Dress @ Perfect Day


Just want to say that I am gradually working on the HB Jacket Poll--just been really busy so been adding entries bit by bit day by day.

The Royal Wedding was today. I watched the whole thing from 6am...(dw, I usually get up that time anyway :P) One of the best parts was getting a day off school!

Remember the Perfect Day store? Stardoll's released Kate Middleton's (or now the Duchess of Cambridge's) dress. It's not a bad resemblence. Kate looked amazing in the dress. It was designed by Sarah Burton at McQueen. She did a great job!

The tiara was given to her by Queen Elizabeth II to borrow for the day, whilst the earrings were a gift from her parents. The earrings were the bride's "something new". For her "something blue", a blue ribbon was sewn into the interior of her dress, while her "something old" was the traditional Carrickmacross craftsmanship used to create the bridal gown.

The bride's bouquet was shield-shaped wired bouquet of myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William (how sweet is that?!?) and hyacinth. She incorporated traditional British flowers in to the design of the dress, and all material used for the dress was British.

    lol :) Good to see your working on the blog, or hear as it may be. I watched it too. She looked lovely. I just noticed how short the queen is! She's actually tiny!

    yes you are right the designers did a fantastic job.
    kate looked so amazing
    i love her dress and she smiled so cute and lovely :) she an amazing princess :) and stardoll did a great job too because the dress stardoll sells looks really similar to the one of Kate

    We could go in in clothes of our choice yday--I went in in their jersey, too! Haha x I had 4 teachers come up to me asking why I was wearing that top :P

    Her dress was spectacular, I don't think anyone could have done a better job.

    I wish other writers on blogs post about weddings & ceremonies that take place in their country too. I live in UK as well I'm so over this & tired of seeing it every where. I beleive in privacy I wish the press would respect their privacy unlike how the other wives in the royal family were / have been treated by the press. Only the future will tell.

    It's an absolutely beautiful dress. I would hope that Alexander McQueen would be proud of Sarah Burton. When i'm older and i get married, i would absolutely love to have a dress like that, or a McQueen dress, but i guess i might just have to settle with my Stardoll replica :)

    Her dress was lovely. I disliked the train though. I wanted someone to faint though or her to say no, so it would be more entertaining to watch;-)

    Looking forward to the final ;-) Lionel Messi will tear us apart--but we'll lose with dignity. Something Barcelona can never, ever do! You have to admit though--the only reason they're really good is because they have Messi. He's a legend--no way would the score have been 2-0 without him! I was supporting Madrid, simply because if United get through to the final, they have an easier job. Looks like I jinxed it...maybe I'll be supporting Barca next time ;-) If they lose and get knocked out in the second leg--you know where to find me!

    Hehe, I love Messi, how cute is him?! and I know he is so strong but remember Xavi and Villa, Pedro, Alves, Pique, Iniesta..etc. I really appreciate Manchester but, Madrid, noway! I hate this team! especially Ronaldo!!! :S but I dont know now if I should wish you luck for next game or wish you luck to lose to be supporting Barca!!

    My second favourite part of the wedding was definatley Grace Van Cutsem putting her hands over her ears when the RAF flew over
    My first was Kate stepping out onto the balcony and said 'Oh Wow' when she saw the crowds.

    Real Madrid fan here.

    Kate's dress was pretty as it was a wedding dress but in my opinion it could have been much better. Her dress reminded me of a maids dress. If it didn't have the skirt it would really look like the dress of a maid. It looked too plain and almost like a lace table cloth. I'm definitely not a fan of the designer. The bodice of the dress really reminded me of a Lada Gaga leotard and that's not good on the day of your most unforgettable moment.
