CATE BLANCHETT ON STARDOLL

Catherine Élise Blanchett born 14 May 1969 in Australia and is knowed by the name Cate. She is a actress and theatre director. Cate did graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1992. She made her feature film debut in Paradise Road in 1997 and in 1998, she played the character Elizabeth I of England on the film directed by Shekhar Kapur and began to have international attention. 2001 was a busy year for Cate, with starring roles of the Elf queen Galadriel in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Bandits, The Shipping News and Charlotte Gray. In Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skll she was Colonel-Doctor Irina Spalko and Katharine Hepburn in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator, a role which brought her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has won a lot acting awards, most notably two SAGs, two Golden Globe Awards, two BAFTAs, an Academy Award and the Volpi Cup at 64th Venice International Film Festival.
