So I know what you are thinking another awards show, but this is not the case. I am not actually doing an awards show per say. It's a different kind of "awards show". I'm not trying to copy or steal anyone's idea :)Ever since the return of the Star_Awards, I have longed to bring back THE SPARKLE AWARDS.
These awards were started a long time ago by my aunt (Dinahdoll22) who owned a huge club called Sparkle_Magazne. They were very popular and I was involved in the judging and running of it. Unfortunately....it was just a lot of work and we couldn't keep it going! Long time followers may remember it here on the blog as well. So, now I have decided to introduce a scaled down version of it, but with the same concept....giving those deserving a chance to "sparkle".
This is how it will work. We will have 20 searchers. Everyday, (For 3 weeks) they will be searching throughout Stardoll, taking screen prints looking for people for our various categories.
*You (our readers) can also nominate people for the different categories by contacting me or telling us in the chat box. (You can not nominate yourself)
Our searchers and judges will then vote on the official 5 nominees to be presented in each category.
After the nominees are presented on the blog...You will vote in a poll to decide the winners.
So we are cutting the actual awards show lol, but the winners will be announced monthly on the blog.
Here are the categories:
Best Female Medoll (based on your medoll and style)
Best Male Medoll (based on your medoll and style)
Best Suite
Best Album
Best Scenery
Best Designer (clothing designed in stardesign)
The Sparkle Award (This person has it all, great medoll, style, suite, personality. They often are creative or does something outstanding in the Stardoll community)
As you can see our categories are a little different and it will be based on what you do, not so much who you are..
The winners in each category will win stardollars and the Sparkle Award winner gets a code.

I havent really heard of these before, because I only started Stardoll again until recently, but they sound awesome! I really cant wait!

ReplyDeleteNo. Why would that be the case? The searchers are there to search out people all over stardoll.
They will be looking at people who comment the stardoll magazine, who just signed in, the latest designers on Stardesign, people who follow this blog and just by searching through visitors on peoples suites etc..
This has nothing to do with who you are friends with because if you didn't do anything to deserve the nom you won't make the top 5.

ReplyDeleteActually yes searchers and judges can be nominated, but not by themselves. Someone else can nominate them if they think they deserve as the readers vote on the winners.
I think i've heard of the sparkle awads, but not quite sure..

Love the idea! I sort of wish there were searches hired just for the awards, so there would be a chance for anyone to be involved, even if they are too busy to be involved with the blog every day. But hope it works out well! We really need to hear about some new people, rather than the same old ones.
