CELEBRATE YOUR COUNTRY COMP

On July 4th in America we celebrate our countries Independence Day.

For those who don't know: It is a national holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, concerts, baseball games, political speeches and ceremonies, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. (from Wikipedia)

Stardoll has re-released a bunch of USA patriotic clothing to help us celebrate.
As I read my friend Eftychia's blog (Stardoll Gossip Mania) it got me thinking. She said why are the clothes just for the USA?( She did not know that this was a holiday for us).

Anywho, I remembered a comp my aunt did! I thought I'd do a quick version. So, on July 4th

Celebrate YOUR country!

1. Create a fabulous outfit in YOUR countries colors. (Your medoll must be dressed in this outfit on the 4th & 5th of July)

2. Write about YOUR county in your presentation or starblog. Show your country pride by telling us why you love your country so much!!! Discuss its History, famous people, music etc.. Anything you can think of art, poems.. whatever! It is completely up to you!

*Note: You must be wearing the outfit as the point is to celebrate your country and show your pride.

    This is so cool, I live in Israel, but I don't consider Israel as my country since I'm a Muslim Arab originally from Palestine that was occupied and turned into Israel in 1948 I'll have a great chance to tell about it, and maybe win the comp :]

    I love my country because it stands for freedom. In the Revolutionary War, America fought hard for her freedom. The odds were against her, but she managed to win the war. It shows the determination that made America what she is.
    America has every different culture and religion, which makes it special because most countries make you have the same religion, or everyone has one culture. Say you go to India, they have the same food all around, but if you go to America, they have American food, Italian food, Mexican food, Greek food (yum!), Chinese food, and all different kinds of food.
    Also in America you have freedom of speech, you can vote for who you want, rather than being ruled by a queen or king or dictator.
    And the best part about America is you can be who you want. You want to be goth? Sure. You want to be wacky and tacky? Sure, go for it. You want to be a cowboy? Why not. You want to You want to be an environmentalist? Sure! You want to be a cannibal? Sure...wait - sorry, no cannibals allowed in America! Haha

    This is a great idea.. and my country, Puerto Rico, are the same colors as U.S.A. but I will not be in my country and no internet were Im going.. Dominican Republic!!!

    CHICKY357- It says celebrate YOUR country, so the county you live in unless you are only temporarily in another country then celebrate the country you were mainly raised in and have pride in.

    Well, I was brought up in California, but now I live in Lebanon my home country. If I join, I'll do Lebanon, I feel it's more of a country & has a better history. NO ONE BASH ME, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION & I'M NOT A TERRORIST.
