COVID-19 Cycle: Task 3 - Knock-Off Version

Hi y’all!

Everyone who completed the last task is allowed to do the next!

Now for the task...

Task 2: Knock-Off Version
To switch from medical themed tasks, let's go to one based on Stardoll.

To cut to the chase, I'd like for you to style an outfit inspired by a store without using any of the items from that store.

For instance, create an outfit from Pretty n' Love without using any items from that store! Items used here could include flows, white, pink, sheer, and any other items that make you think of the store.



You are allowed to use any doll (including mine - boookay), just be sure to give them credit!

Avoid using doll's who are currently in this cycle!

Be sure to stare what store you choose!


You will be graded on:
- Colors, Patterns, Textures : Are the pieces you used represented on the store you choose? (5pts)
-Complexity: Did you do more than just put a top and bottom together? Did you step outside fo the box? (5pts)
-Cohesiveness: Do the pieces you choose flow together well? Are some bulky on the doll? Do the colors go well together (5pts)
-Judges Choice: Would the judge grading wear this? (5pts)
-Did you state which store you choose? (2pts)

New Basics-Comp (ended)

So, many people thought we were getting subcouture...but we got this bland basics collection instead. lol

Compared to the previous recent releases, this one just falls flat to me. The graphics aren't very detailed and the clothes seem shapeless.

What do y'all think of this?

Someone was just asking for a Basics Comp in chat the other day, so here we go; but the rules are a little bit different.

COMP:

-Must use only BASICS from STARPLAZA, there is a good variety of them at the moment and this will prevent unfair advantages for people that have older Basics that might be better.

-Make sure your entry is created in Starplaza

-Please include your username

-Minimum 10 entries

New Callie's Picks

Starplaza is finally working....so we had a new Callie's Picks release on Wednesday but we still can't see the store in plaza. It is accessible through the Access app and in the catalog. They will seemingly never fix it, along with the laundry list of other glitches happening across the site.

I personally really loved a lot from this collection. I've been wanting that lurex pink dress for ages since it reminds me of Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. lol. I love the sheer pieces, the socks and the over knee boots as well.

Covid-19 Cycle: Task 2 - Herbal Remedy

Hi y’all!

There will be no elimination in this Cycle so everyone who completed the last task is allowed to do the next!

Now for the task...

Task 2: Herbal Remedy
Since the beginning of time, Herbs and other natural things have been used to heal people. From the Native American Medicine in North America to Maori Healing in New Zealand, there are remedies from cultures around the world.

For this task, you must pick one of the remedy combinations below and make an outfit:

1. Lemon, Honey, & Ginger
2. Tumeric, Cinnamon, and Black Pepper
3. Chamomile, Lavender, and Basil
4. Onion, Milk, and Honey
5. Peppermint, Grapefruit, Rosemary



You are allowed to use any doll (including mine - boookay), just be sure to give them credit!

Avoid using doll's who are currently in this cycle!

Be sure to say which combination you choose!


You will be graded on:
- Colors : Are the colors you choose represented in your combination? (5pts)

K-Pop Competition Results

Hey everyone! Sorry these results took so long. There were so many wonderful entries to go through. Thank y'all so much for participating in this comp. K-pop is something near and dear to my heart and I've loved sharing it with all of you. COVID-19 Cycle: Task 1

Covid-19 Cycle: Task 1 - Sterility

Hi y’all!

Sign-ups have closed! As I'm writing this, we have almost 40 participants that have signed-up which is a lot to deal with! Everyone who signed-up is allowed to participate!

As stated before, this cycle will last for roughly 20 days. There will be 5 different tasks, each lasting for 3 days. Judges will have 1 day to grade. Because there are so many participants, there will be no feedback unless a judge decides to comment on something. Contestants will be sent their scores showing each judges score. There will be no elimination in this Cycle so everyone can have fun! Instead of there being a top 3 there will be a top 5 and I will announce their prizes later on. Everyone who finishes will win a prize!

Now for the task...

Task 1: Sterility
Doctors, Nurses, Scientist, and others who are working first hand on COVID-19 have to be sterile in their work. This includes wearing gloves, coats, masks, and other PPE to help.

For this task, you must style a fashionable outfit that is 'Sterile'. My first thought is to use white, crystals, pvc/plastic, and coats in your outfit! I will post an example later on today! Think runway fashion when putting together an outfit!

You are allowed to use any doll (including mine - boookay), just be sure to give them credit! Avoid using doll's who are currently in this cycle!

You will be graded on:
- Colors & Fabrics Used: Do the colors and materials used scream Sterility? (5pts)
-Complexity: Did you do more than just put a top and bottom together? (5pts)
-Creativity: Did you step outside of the box? Is there anything that screams WOW? (5pts)
-Judges Choice: Would the judge grading wear this? (5pts)

This task will close Tuesday, March 24th at 11:59PM EST.

COVID-19 Cycle: Sign-Ups

Hi y’all!

It’s been awhile since I’ve hosted a cycle on here. With the recent spread and outbreak of COVID-19, I know that everyone around the world is being affected. Quarantines have started and I’ve noticed a lot more activity on both the blog and Facedoll. Although I’m not able to make the circumstances better, I figured I could help keep you occupied with something fun to do in the meantime! That is a cycle!

As of right now, I’m going to open Sign-ups and leave them open until Friday, March 20th at 11:59PM EST. After this, the first task will be posted. Each Task will be open for 3 Day and 1 Day will be given for judges to provide a score. I plan on doing 5 different Tasks, so the cycle should last for 20 Days.

Similar to previous Cycle’s, a poll will be taken for a ‘people’s choice award’ each week. The winner will receive 100SD. There will be NO ELIMINATIONS, however you must complete each task on time in order to be able to do the next task. 

Even if you don't win in the end, if you are still in the cycle when it is over - you will win a prize depending on how you place. Below are the current prizes:

1st Place: 1 Month SS + 1000SD
