New Look

There is a new style of clothing on stardoll. It’s called “New look”. It’s kind of funny how the name is New Look but the clothes are Old clothes style kind of 50’s which is a big trend for this fall. As you remember (or not) many designers were influenced by that decade for their fall 2010 collection. L&V and Prada are ones of the few. What I like the more about these clothes are the skirts of the dresses and the colors.

Do you like the clothes? What do you like the most? Tell us all in comments

I really hope you were joking when you said it's New Look but looks rahter like Old Look.

New Look was a style of fashion that came after WW II. I can't remember who made it up, maybe Dior? Hopefully you're not a fashion blogger O.o

I was in fact joking (:

@ Magdaleena
You are right. The New Look started with the WWII, Dior and Chanel are some of the designers credited with developing this "new trend".
And it's from the 40's not the 50's.

Well I am not saying it's not from the 40's or 50's you know but for this Fall many designers used the 50's trend with some clothes similar to that. Therefore I mentioned because you can be up to the trend with some of those clothes

There's a large clothes store called new look in UK & they have lots of branches but their clothes are modern like top shop or H&M. I think this might be the new name for the decades store. Have you noticed there are lot of decades items in the store today.

He maybe meant a new take on old looks? I like both old and new, so it's good to mixed. I was watching a special a while back on fashion houses or vintage items on pbs.
And I was in awe of the vintage Dior and Chanel suits and how they made a name for their selves. Especially from the older ladies and heiress. This one lady(I think she was a dutchess) only worn Chanel suits during the war time to now.
