I know a lot of you have a great ideas for new segments or just things we could add to the blog...well here is your chance to tell us!!! As part of our 2000 followers celebration, we are holding this comp.
Basically tell us your new idea. It could be a new segment for the blog (an idea that would be done on a regular basis) or it could be a comp or just something you thing would make a great addition.
Provide an example. Like if its a segment on fashion actually provide a sample of what it would look like if you wrote it on our blog. Pictures are helpful.
So list the idea in comments and provide links for any examples.
The winner will receive a $100sd and who knows you could win a guest spot in this blog to do the segment you suggested!!!

I would love to see a "real life fashion" section,i am kinda bored of seeing stardoll fashions 24/7 simply becuase im not a stardoll addict,and im sure im not the only one.I would rather be styling and dressing up myself rather than a virtual medoll.
i think if we got some stylists for the blog to go out and take pics of outfits they have mixed and matched in real life,that would be great :)

Maybe you can make a competition, where we have to drave a popular dress (LE, DKNY, MKA...) in real and send it to you. The greatest and most difficult drawing wins!!!

Outfit of the week, members can look at people's medolls and put them forwards to a poll. Then people can vote for the one they like best the winner will be addressed as the best dressed for the week. Also there could be a prize for the winner

I just got 2 ideas!
1- "Look a-like competition" - You have to dress up your doll with clothes you like. But in real life, you need to represent those clothes with your own / family clothes and then take a pic. You can be wearing them or you can just lay them on the floor or on the bed. You can also go shopping, find some similar clothes and mix them all!
2- "Stardoll Designer" - You need to dress up your doll with ANY clothes you like. Then, you draw your doll and clothes, but you need to give it a touch yourself, specially on make up and clothes. You can add some stuff on the doll, but the face should be just like your own doll, so we can recognize you! Take a pic of your drew doll and put it next to the real doll. The most original wins!
I tried to expand my ideas to a world besides stardoll, so people can also show their fashion in real life and maybe recognize that they got a talent :)

My idea:
There are so many makeover shows in the USA! So why don't you choose some talented users to make up other users. This is how it would work:
1- A stardoll user wants to change the look of one of her friends. There would be a post for applications, in which someone says that she doesn't like her friend's medoll and she wants to change her look. She must say which style she would like too see her friend (she may also ask to make her look like a celebrity).
2- A person or a team of people chosen by Jenna, would change her style (make-up, clothes, hair...).
3- In the end they would post a printscreen of how she looked before and a printscreen of her after the makeover.
So what do you think?

1.I agree with everyone.I personally like drawing.I would like to give each week or month a theme and we have to design it in real life.But not drawing,designing.A manequin and her outfit.
2.It can be a...style themecompetition.Like army,urban.flower prints,etc.Each month.They have to make an outfit by theme.The prize will be choosen by you:)
3.Each day take an interview.Not only with elites...I(saying like i would be the reporter :)) )will first write basic stuff about that person and after questions about style and...other.

I think you could tell us a HOT ITEM on stardoll and we can dress our medolls using that item. Sorry It is boring I had a test that took 2 hours to complete.

There could be a segment which focuses on doing 'look - a - like' outfits that are similar to LE, DKNY, miss sixty. This could be for the Non SS . . .
Also, there could be a weekly mini - comp, where you post a picture of a certain piece of clothing, not in the starplaza anymore. Then they have to make the outfit inspired by a celebrities style. Ie Lady Gaga.
Or you could do a new segment which is the person that can make the best outfit using only ONE item of clothing, ONE pair of shoes [any] and ONE accessory.
Also, you could include a segment that is about Budding Fashion designers on stardoll. People who make great stardesign items.
Or possibly a look at the best and worst of the week.
I will put examples of all these on my blog!!

How about a FOTD contest? Face of the day or even week.
Different members get to post their daily makeup faces or one main theme for a few makeup contests.
A few posts about different countries. Like a weekly thing or twice a month. People can post their own pictures from their place. Like a mini travel walkthrough.
Look for less, just like the tv show. Both ss and non ss looks. Not only based on celebs, but different looks from real people, that you may find on blogs.
A few interesting dress contests. Like dress as a twin contest. Fantasy/sci-fi contest based on a movie or book.
A mini short story contest or photoshop and gimp contest. Show your best editing skills based on a specific idea.
May sound silly only for fun only. But a SMW own The Bachelor or Bachelorette contest.
Combine with mini stories the contestants makes up. Along the way the winner of the challenges get a mini prize or special reward. The whole thing can be up to a few rounds.
An Amazing Race contest? Teams of two in a fashion challenge, every week. Dress in tradition outfits based on a random country you pick or they will travel to. Along the way there will be hidden mini challenges or hunts. Almost like the show.
A monthly how to guide and tips post. Based on both stardoll and real life fashion or designs.
A fashion from around the world post.
My ideas are a little out there, lol.^.^
Somethings random.
Not really fashion, but a weekly or monthly nice quotes or sayings? A little good or funny quotes here and there on the side or site.
Some beautiful things pictures posts. Things in fashion or in nature anyone can post through you.
A looklet or polyvore site contest. Two ways. Make an outfit over there and translate it to stardoll. Or a contest where you can make an outfit and room based on a fashion era or theme.
Well, I think that this blog has too many comps, still I see that most of the replies are about comps, so that's what followers like the most!
So, maybe instead of having a comp for every HB that comes out (even if majority doesn't like it) only the best ones could be used for polls and in place of the other ones there were Themed comps.
Themed comps can be endless...
examples:
- A top/skirt given to make an outfit for a night at Opera
limitations could also apply, like
- Don't use black etc..

not read comments so if someone posted im sorry. My idea is like a debate so like every week people sigh up and then you say a topic and you have to argue for and against it. The winner can win a prize maybe. And like say the topic was, Make-up for non-ss the 2 contesetants say like. Well we choose to beocme ss because we want the extra things. then the otehr says but it isnt exactly fair as the have to use hair clubs as makeup. etc.
I think it would be a great success because people can have their views and get a small prize for it and have fun. People could also suggest topics and maybe they could get a small prize.
I think we should use a free item in a glamorous way. In a scenery, graphic,album,or a suite. It would be resourceful and anyone could compete. Most people would have the free items and no way to use them.
That's a really cool Idea, but I can't think of anything right now :s

You could do stardoll "What not to Wear" You could pick one person who needs "help" with dressing up thier medoll and give them 500 sds to help them get good items. You could do John and Jenna as Stacy and Clinton. And get a makeup person and hair person! That would be so cool!

At the end of every month on the blog have everyone who runs the blog pick their Favorite Clothing and/or Deco item of the Month then ask all the readers to post theirs,
basically it's like a Favorites post, just to get to know everyone's style better
I would love to see a section that was based off of different fashion styles/different points of view. It could be titled "According to..." and would correspond with a theme(example is According to a stylista, according to a fashion designer, etc.) and would describe the lifestyle of one and how to become more like that lifestyle but still incorporate yourself into it.
Another idea is Just Saying, which would be a segment about popular issues on Stardoll, such as non-superstar rights, and the writer would review things about the topic, both good and bad, and welcome opinions in the comments, and add them to the post, like an argument, so you could see both sides to a conversation
well, I thought at a section where to put an outfit every week and every reader to be able to post in comments their opinion and how you can improve the outfit and even create new outfits having as a basic outfit that outfit and the best opinion to receive a prize. you can call it "listening to you". I'm ccatalina on stardoll. hugs!

So my idea is:a catwalk.What I mean?You can write a post saying u will host a catwalk and if the followers want to participate they will write in the comments their opinion about,stardoll,clothes,make up etc.Then, u will choose 10-12 of them and u will make the catwalk.
After that, write a topic saying who passed and tell them in the topic to make an awesome outfit of their choice.Then in a few days present the outfits like a catwalk(pic:http://tinypic.com/r/2m2jmfs/5) and make a poll asking whose outfit was the best.The winner can get $ or ss.This can be done every 2 weeks for example.

i like this comp. i like all comps. and this blog has enough comps. maybe too many.
and my idea: posts dedicated to non-SS. yeah, again me with the non-SS thingie. well, the problem is that there are a LOT of girls that are non-SS on stardoll. one of them is me. not that i don't like to be a superstar, i'd like, but i don't find that necessary. and i think non-SS can be fashionable if they want (or if someone shows them how to be). there are a lot of fashionable clothes that are non-SS, but some girls don't seem to see them. so this blog will help them look better, and dress nicer.
i know there are some posts for non-SS clothes, tips etc. but i'd like that to be at least once a week. after that, you can make a best dressed non-SS comp, too.

Ok, so, here comes my idea. I don't know what you'll think about it, but I hope you'll like it. Lol ;D
There should be a new category in your main menu, called 'Rares catalogue'. We'd be posting pictures of the rare items, including the price (not the exact price, just something like - The scuba dress; about 2000sd). And we wouldn't only focus on those very-known rares, like Scuba or MKA RC, but on those less known but just as rare, like H&M belt etc. I think this would be very helpful for all of us - especially the new followers/stardoll users. This way I believe we would prevent selling rare stuff under price, because there's a lot of people out there that doesn't even know how much their item is worth. :]

cool idea for a comp
Well here's an idea that could run for a couple of months:
First peole sign up in comments under a topic. People who enter would be put in a group of 5 random competitors. Their aim each week would be to complete a cetain group challenge e.g. creating a mini-magazine by combining the entire group's talents.
It would be interesting to see how 5 people from completly different backgrounds work together as one group. Maybe we'll see fights, friendship or failure who knows?
They could complete in
a challenge each week and there would be a poll where the lowest voted group is knocked out until the final week when there are maybe 3 groups left who compete in a huge final challenge and the winning group is announced.
I think this would be an amazing way for people to make new friends and have fun completing challenges together.
umm..im dont good at this but mabey a comp about using clothes from ur real life wardrobe
or
a hotbuys bazzar model of the week were she models clothing examples for comps hotbuys ect.
or having a theme week each week like a rockstar theme or beach party or hello kitty week or somen like that !! LOL
A segment called Hands Down Hot which talks about the latest and greatest events going on on Stardoll or on Stardoll blogs. There would be a discussion between a few people as the post on what is hot and why, and commentors on the post add their imput. It would kind of be like a news segment thing,
you can make some competitions like of stardoll fashionistas everyweek in which people have to roam around in stardoll and have to answer questions like (just an example)
q1: who is the editor of stardoll magazine?
q2: go to youtube and search this vedio "stardoll fantasy" (well just an example) and what is on 00:24 second?
like these you can make comp of 4-5 questions per week and select first 5 people and then choose a winner and display him/her on the blog for the whole week.

I mean you take a photo with a star from the internet and you try to make your doll like the star....it doesn't have to be a competition..it can be fashion tip "Look a like a Hollywood star"

Hey! I have a lot of ideas for this comp! But, I really think you should have a "Surf the Web" Comp! This is how it would go:
Based on an outfit category that you'd give out each week, the participants would have to create an outfit from all different fashion websites on the Web. They's combine a piece from each store and put that outfit onto paint and save it onto a tinypic. The most creative and best put-together moves onto the next round.
